Jordan Citizenship by Investment
To qualify for Jordanian citizenship under the current regulations, applicants can choose from several investment options.
The first option is placing a zero-interest deposit of USD 1 million at the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) for a minimum of three years, along with the purchase of treasury bonds valued at USD 1 million at an interest rate determined by the CBJ, held for a minimum of six years.
The second option involves buying shares and/or units in Jordanian companies valued at USD 1.5 million, provided they are held for at least three years.
The third option requires establishing an investment project with capital of USD 1 million in the Amman governorate (or USD 750,000 outside Amman), which must create at least 20 employment opportunities (reduced to 10 outside Amman) for Jordanian citizens.

Jordan’s Citizenship by Investment Program provides several benefits, including visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to over 50 destinations. Citizenship is applicable to the entire family, including the main applicant's spouse, children (unmarried, widowed, or divorced daughters and sons under 18), and dependent parents. Jordan offers the stability of a peaceful country in the Middle East, actively involved in the United Nations and a member of the World Trade Organization.
Applicants must be over 18 years old, meet the application requirements, and submit documentary evidence of their chosen investment. The program accepts up to 500 applicants per year, and the investment requirements are reviewed every six months.
Once the application is submitted, the chosen investment route—whether it be bank deposits, treasury bonds, company shares, or a job-creating project—will be reviewed, and further due diligence checks will be performed. Upon approval, the applicant and their family will receive Jordanian passports.
The entire process is managed by Jordan's Citizenship by Investment authorities, and the processing time for applications varies based on the investment option chosen but citizenship can usually be acquired within 3 months.
